Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader to serve as both the Regional Lead for US MDR and the Deputy to the Global Head of Managed Detection & Response (MDR) and. This hybrid role will involve overseeing MDR service delivery and operational excellence in the United States, handling client escalations, acting as a key interface with the Go-to-Market team, and delivering training to sales and pre-sales teams to enhance knowledge and positioning of our MDR services. The successful candidate will also be the go-to person for the US MDR leadership team for managing complex operational challenges, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining alignment with global MDR standards and objectives
Key Responsibilities
US MDR Regional Lead Responsibilities
- Client Escalation Management: Serve as the primary point of escalation for US-based clients, managing high-priority incidents, addressing client concerns, and ensuring timely and effective resolution. Communicate outcomes and next steps with key stakeholders and follow through on improvement actions.
- Sales & Pre-Sales Training: Design and deliver training programs to equip the Go-to-Market teams (Sales & Pre-Sales) with in-depth knowledge of MDR services, ensuring they understand the benefits, competitive advantages, and key differentiators of our offerings. Act as a technical resource and advisor during pre-sales engagements as needed.
- Client Communication and Relationship Building: Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with clients in collaboration with Engagement Managers and GTM teams, fostering trust and transparency.
Global Deputy Responsibilities
- Support Global Strategy Execution:
Act as the Deputy to the Global Head of MDR, assisting in the execution of the global MDR strategy, operational initiatives, and ensuring regional alignment with global objectives. - Cross-Regional Collaboration:
Foster collaboration between US MDR teams and other KS regional teams (GTM, Advisory, Product & Engineering) to share insights, best practices, and ensure a unified approach to MDR service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are highly desirable.
- Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or MDR/MSS operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and handling escalations in a high-stakes environment.
Experience in a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) environment is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
In-depth understanding of MDR services, incident response protocols, and threat intelligence practices.
Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and other cybersecurity tools commonly used in MDR (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or ISO 27001.
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with clients, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
Proven ability to handle escalations diplomatically and resolve conflicts effectively.
