Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture

· Provide strong technical direction across projects, collaborating with Architects to refine architecture decisions and finalize high-quality system designs.

· Translate complex business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

· Break down high-level requirements into well-defined stories and actionable tasks for development teams.

· Make data-driven decisions on technology choices, design approaches, and coding standards.

· Lead by example through hands-on technical contribution (~70%), ensuring high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability.

2. Software Development & Engineering Excellence

· Deliver high-quality code using modern engineering best practices including clean code, refactoring, domain-driven design, and encapsulation.

· Develop, review, and optimize components across the full stack using technologies such as Java or Python.

· Perform code reviews, design reviews, and assist in curating and maintaining repository health.

· Contribute to automation, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure needs using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure).

· Explore, prototype, and implement new initiatives and emerging technologies with a result-oriented mindset.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery

· Work closely with product leaders, business partners, and stakeholders to refine requirements, clarify priorities, and ensure product vision is delivered effectively.

· Participate actively in agile ceremonies, requirement discussions, grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

· Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Infra, and Support teams to ensure smooth delivery, deployment, and operations.

· Challenge assumptions and contribute to making designs more flexible, scalable, and future proof.

· Mentor and coach engineers across distributed teams, providing guidance on technical, design, and professional growth.

· Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, tool adoption, and modern engineering approaches across the organization.

5. Production Ownership & Support

· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues with urgency, minimizing user and revenue impact.

· Support operations and development teams by interpreting legacy or unfamiliar code, diagnosing root causes, and delivering robust fixes.

· Maintain clear, complete technical documentation for assigned components to ensure long-term supportability.
