Responsibilities
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead a software development team in Bangalore, responsible for building some of the key services of our content delivery platform. This role commands a strong technical leader who will thrive in a fast-paced environment that serves multiple customers with cutting edge features and regular releases.
Acting as the Scrum Master in the team you will be responsible for
- Ensuring team plans and delivers defined sprint objectives & product releases.
- Being the agile coach of the team and applying agile principles, and that a continuous improvement practice is in place within team.
- Collaborative working between other development teams, testers, SRE and stakeholders.
- Managing M&S activities, both for system / solution CI and production issues. Define PR fix priority with relevant stakeholders and execute accordingly within team.
Using your technical experience, you will
- Ensure the team members are connected to the operation of the product and spread the DevOps culture within team.
- Be responsible for and improve the quality of the deliverables build by the team (including the definition of done of feature and user stories), and that an efficient and automated software factory (Build/CI/CD) is in place for all team deliverables.
- Think strategically and have natural problem-solving skills that allows you to find solutions to impediments in the delivery process whilst maintaining a high quality only approach.

Requirements / Profile
- Experience of developing and delivering microservices in the Cloud.
- Java, Docker, Kubernetes etc
- Good understanding of, or interest in, DevOps.
- Excellent skills on setting up efficient software factory and best practices in release management, continuous integration, test automation, continuous delivery.
- Previous experience as a tech lead or holding a senior position with a keen interest to move into a management position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of tools including JIRA and Confluence and to version control systems, e.g. Git or Perforce.
