System Engineer

Location : Madrid, Spain

Mission

The System Engineer delivers services, operations, and software innovations, in the diversified end-to-end ecosystems of our Digital TV (DTV) customers worldwide.

This position is part of the Global Operations & Services organization, whose mission is to deliver best in class services, operations, and software innovation; focused on bringing customer centric outcomes and internally driven operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Execute activities required to deliver the products, services and value expected by our customers, during all phases of the project (Pre-sales / Delivery / Maintenance), within the established Information Security Management System policies and practices.
• Install/upgrade, configure, integrate our products/services within customer’s end-to-end ecosystem so to enable the features and value expected by customers.
• Provide Maintenance, Support and Incident Management to our Key Strategic Account customers worldwide.
• Proactively monitor Systems performance and quality of service delivery to customers in production platforms.
• Collaborate closely with other system engineers, Program Managers, Solution Experts, R&D so to work together efficiently and foster an environment of continuous improvement and DevOps.

Exigences / profile

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s in engineering / Computer Science, Telecommunications degree or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience on system administration (Linux RedHat 6-7) on-premises or/and in the cloud, including deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of software (Docker, NGINX), databases (Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4J), network and cloud infrastructures.
• Knowledge on scripting, virtualization (VMWare), cloud (AWS preferably), Android/IOs apps integration and troubleshooting, web and streaming technologies.
• Additional valuable experience/knowledge: IPTV and OTT streaming services, DRMs, DevOps (CI/CD, microservices design and orchestration, cloud infrastructures, infra as code…), familiarity with agile methodologies is also a plus.
